With the air quality in Singapore reaching its 'unhealthy and ‘very unhealthy’ range today, Singapore residents are urging for immediate action to be taken by Indonesia.

Local netizens took to Twitter to express their disgruntle as the Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) reached a range between 152 to 186 this morning.

While mentioning Indonesian President Joko Widodo in her tweet, netizen Andrea Edwards wants immediate action to be taken.

Last week, Indonesia has agreed to share with Singapore the names of companies suspected of causing forest fires that have led to a deterioration of air quality in the city state.

Indonesia's Minister of Environment and Forestry, Siti Nurbaya Bakar, told Singapore's Minister for the Environment and Water Resources, Vivian Balakrishnan, that the names would be shared once the information had been verified, Singapore's National Environment Agency (NEA) said in a statement.
