Tips from overspending at Ramadan bazaars
With the numerous Ramadan bazaars around the country, the tendency to overspend is high.
RAMADAN month does not only mean fasting, it also means Muslims will scout for good meals to break fast.

With the numerous Ramadan bazaars around the country, the tendency to overspend is high.

Here, we share some tricks on how to avoid overspending at your favourite Ramadan bazaar.

Buy in moderation

For those who are busy working and do not have time to cook for break fast, the bazaar has always been the solution. We know that!

However, if you want to save money (for rainy days!) opt to only spend on several dishes without rice. This is because white rice can be cooked at home, in no time.

Don’t buy drinks

If you visit the bazaar, the drink stalls often draws your attention. We will be more easily influenced to buy a drink because of thirst, but don’t fall for it. It’s better to make your own drink at home, because this method will definitely save your money.

One delicacy per day

During the month of Ramadan, there will be a variety of delicious cakes for sale. For those who are on budget but want to taste different types of cakes, you are advised to buy one flavour a day.

Ask help from a friend

Difficult to control your spending while visiting bazaars? Then, seek help from a friend. Request him/her to buy food with a specific budget. For example, you give RM20 to your friend and ask him or her not to exceed your budget. By doing so, your money can be saved.

Happy Ramadan Kareem, everyone!
