Although the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) has been deemed to have dissolved, the cooperation and working relationship between PAS, DAP and Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) will still continue said PKR President
Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.

Dr Wan Azizah was optimistic that the spirit within PR was intact.

"Our relationship still continues. In fact, Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng has also said that it is business as usual," she told reporters when asked to comment about her statement on Wednesday that the PR political coalition was no longer functioning formally, after a Ramadan gathering to present donations
to the Permatang Pauh Parliament surau at Masjid Jamek, Kampung Pelet, near here today.

Last Wednesday Wan Azizah conceded that the PR political alliance no longer existed formally.

She said PAS' decision to sever ties with DAP was accepted without debate at PAS' 61st Assembly, while the DAP Central Executive Council had also announced the end of PR.

Elaborating further, Wan Azizah said based on her reading and understanding of the statements made by PAS leaders, whether in victory or defeat, they had sent the message that the three parties would remain together.

She said what was important was the current goal to defeat Barisan Nasional (BN) and to face national problems.

Earlier, in her speech, Wan Azizah said the political situation was still under control and proof of this was the donation ceremony which was attended by PAS leaders, including Permatang Pasir State Assemblyman Datuk Salleh Man, Seberang Jaya State Assemblyman Dr Afif Bahardin and several others.

The PR was formed after the 12th General Election in 2008 on the initiative of PKR de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and other leaders.

Lim who is also DAP secretary-general had said the decision by the PAS assembly to sever ties with DAP had 'killed' the coalition.
