Jenny and Po Fan owned a Michelin billing restaurant in Rotterdam called Asian Glories. Po Fan, known as Popo Fan was a cook from Hong Kong. The loving couple migrated to the Netherlands in 1978. The couple usually took a flight from Rotterdam to Hong Kong and then to Malaysia to visit family. They were travelling to Malaysia with Jenny's elderly mother, Siew Poh Tan, to her hometown in Penang. Their only son Kevin Tan was not on board the flight and has vowed to continue the good name of the business.
