KUALA LUMPUR:Several presidents of political parties who are members of the Perikatan Nasional (PN) government started leaving the Hilton Hotel Kuala Lumpur around 2 pm this afternoon.

UMNO President, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi was seen as one of the last to leave the hotel at 2.50 pm.

Parti Bersatu Sabah President, Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili was among the earliest leaders to leave followed by PAS President, Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang.

Next seen leaving the hotel were MIC President Tan Sri S. Vigneswaran and MCA President Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

Until 3 pm, President of the Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu), Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin was still not seen.

The media understands that the Prime Minister was still in the meeting.

When this news was written, several other leaders were seen entering the hotel including PAS secretary-general Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan and Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) chief whip, Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.

Also present was PN Information Chief, Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali who arrived at around 2.50 pm.

So far, the essence of the meeting was still unknown as all leaders chose to 'keep silent' when asked by reporters waiting in the hotel lobby.

Only Ka Siong and Vigneswaran spoke and stated that the meeting was just an 'ordinary meeting'.

"We usually meet before the parliamentary session. This is just an ordinary meeting, ”said Ka Siong.

Vigneswaran, on the other hand, said that the meeting was just a 'makan-makan' program.

It is understood that the meeting will end between 4.30 pm and 5 pm.
