A Malaysia Airlines (MAS) cabin crew was detained by the French police on alleged inappropriate sexual behaviour against a passenger.

“Malaysia Airlines expects and accepts nothing short of the highest standards of conduct from its crew and takes any such allegations very seriously.

“We will naturally assist the French authorities as they conduct their investigation and would stress that the safety, comfort and well-being of our passengers is always our highest priority,” said MAS in a statement to the media.

A news portal, The Cubic Lane had earlier reported that an Australian citizen on board the flight had expressed her deep concern on the safety of the flight, following the MH370 and MH17 tragedy, to the cabin crew.

The cabin crew was reported to have sat beside the woman to calm her down. It was later claimed to have changed to a sexual assault.

The passenger later lodged a police report on the incident, upon her arrival at the Roissy-Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris.

Following police interrogations, the cabin crew had admitted to his action and was arrested.
