Police found five homemade bombs in a Damansara Perdana condominium after a dawn raid, forcing 200 residents scrambled for their lives during the wee hours of the morning, here today.

Petaling Jaya OCPD Assistant Communication Mohd Zani Che Din said police who arrived at the scene at about 4.30am, combed the condominium unit and found the bombs, electric circuit materials and substances used to make bombs.

"We found a black box containing a quantity of drugs, mainly syabu and ecstasy pills," he told reporters at the scene.

Mohd Zani said a police bomb disposal unit removed the bombs to an open area nearby and detonated them at around noon today.

The results of the inspection, found five homemade bombs IED type, liquid methamphetamine drug and ecstasy in the unit.

Two suspects are believed as local residents, however, managed to escape after realising the presence of the police force.
