NEW DELHI: Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday denounced the latest Israeli air attacks on the Gaza Strip as an "act of terrorism."

"If impunity and barbarism had a face, it would have been that of Israel, which has targeted Palestinians without any care for consequences. Pakistan strongly condemns Israeli airstrikes," the Pakistani prime minister said.

Israel on Friday killed 10 Palestinians, including a five-year-old girl, in the missile strikes on the Gaza Strip, which is described as an "open-air prison" due to the Israeli blockade.

Taysir Al Jabari, a commander of the Islamic Jihad group, was among the dead.
