Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak today conveyed his condolences to Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong over the passing of Singapore’s founding father and first Prime Minister, Lee Kuan Yew.

In sending the message to Kuan Yew's son , Lee Hsien Loong, Najib said his thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.

“I am very sorry to hear about the loss of your father. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
“On behalf of all Malaysians, my deepest condolences to the people of Singapore.

“Founding Prime Minister Mr Lee Kuan Yew's achievements were great, and his legacy is assured,” he said on his Facebook page.

Najib’s condolences was also posted on his Twitter.


Kuan Yew, 91 died 3.18am Monday, at the Singapore General Hospital after suffering from severe pneumonia.
