The nation waits with bated breath for the outcome of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's final appeal -- against his conviction and jail sentence to serve for having sodomised his former aide -- imposed (by the Court of Appeal) on March 7 at the Federal Court, tomorrow and Wednesday.

The burning question is: what will his fate be?

Will the highest court in the country maintain the jail term Anwar has to serve, prolong or trim the jail term or overturn his conviction?

Anwar, 67, was charged under Section 377B of the Penal Code, which carries a jail term of up to 20 years and whipping, upon conviction.
