KUALA LUMPUR:The Dewan Rakyat on Monday passed the Supply (Budget) Bill 2021 at the committee stage for the Prime Minister's Department (JPM).

The matter was announced by Dewan Rakyat Speaker, Datuk Azhar Azizan Harun at about 2.30 pm, after being decided by a block vote with 105 supporting, 95 did not support while another 20 MPs were not present.

The decision was made after the session provided 10 minutes to enable voting to be conducted, including giving time to the MPs to enter the hall.

This was in compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) that allowed only 80 MPs to enter the chamber.

Prior to that, the bill winding up session for JPM was conducted by five ministers, starting with Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili, Datuk Seri Mohd Redzuan Md Yusof, Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamad, Datuk Takiyuddin Hasan and Datuk Dr Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri.

JPM has been allocated RM11.69 billion in the 2021 Budget -- RM4.47 billion for operating expenditure and RM7.2 billion for development expenditure.
