McDonald's restaurants in the UK will soon be outfitted with Samsung Galaxy tablets as part of the company's ‘Experience of the Future' campaign.

After a successful trial run last year, the company is set to install tablets in the majority of its UK restaurants.

Customers will be able to play games, use social media or browse the web in the restaurants.

"Technology has an important role to play in all walks of life, including our customers' eating out experience, so the changes we're making as part of the ‘Experience of the Future' programme bring us closer to the way people live their lives today," said Doug Baker, Head of IT Restaurant Solutions and Service at McDonald's UK.

McDonald's "Experience of the Future" program represents the biggest operational change and investment in the brand's 41-year history in the UK, with a special focus on digital technology, improved design and personalized customer experiences.
