The world is getting ready to celebrate a month of football glory as the 2014 FIFA World Cup begins from June 12 to July 13, in Brazil.
In March 2003, football's international governing body FIFA announced that the tournament would be held in South America for the first time since 1978. Twenty five referee trios and eight support duos representing 43 different countries have been selected for the tournament.
Twelve venues in twelve cities will cover all the main regions of Brazil. The official ball of the 2014 World Cup will be the Adidas Brazuca. More than 1 million Brazilian footie fans voted to select the name "Brazuca". It is produced by Adidas, the official FIFA World Cup match ball supplier since 1970.
