Shanghai Disneyland has just opened its door to public last week, but it has drawn a lot of attention, and not for the right reasons, too.

The theme park had conducted a trial opening for six weeks, but sadly, it still failed to educate Chinese visitors on how to behave.

Local media have been condemning the uncivilised manner portrayed by many of the visitors, such as littering and public urinating and defecating, even.

Photos circulating on social media showed how the famous dreamland has now turned into a huge garbage bin.

The park's management distributed a handy etiquette guide during its trial opening, with some of the rules stressing on not littering, defacing public facilities and general uncivilised behaviour.

But the photos on social media showed just the opposite.

One photo even showed some parents taking their kids to defecate among the landscaping instead of using the available public restrooms.

In 2014, a Chinese tourist defended a fellow tourist for public urinating at Hong Kong Disneyland, saying the action was due to the lack of public toilets.

In an Apple Daily report, it is stated that Shanghai Disneyland has even fewer toilets than Hong Kong Disneyland.

The visitor to restroom ratio at Shanghai Disneyland is 4,500 to 1 while the ration at Hong Kong Disneyland is 1,500 to 1.
