RUSSIAN President Vladimir Putin couldn't contain his laughter during a cabinet meeting after one of his ministers suggested exporting pork to Indonesia.

According to a report by Al-Arabiya, the suggestion was made by Russian Minister of Agriculture Alexander Tkachev during yesterday's cabinet meeting.

Their conversation was recorded and instantly went viral on social media.

It was understood that Tkachev was proposing a plan to boost the export of meats and cited Germany as an example in terms of exporting pork to countries like Japan, China and Indonesia.

Putin then smiled and clarified to Tkachev that Indonesia is a Muslim country hence its people do not eat pork.

But Tkachev insisted by replying “They will.” and Putin then said, “No, they will not.” Putin then burst into laughter.

Tkachev smiled after realising that he had actually meant South Korea and not Indonesia, and clarified the matter to his fellow cabinet members.
