Another 70 COVID-19-related deaths were reported in Indonesia over the past 24 hours, taking the country's death toll to 3,241.

In addition to this, the total number of infections also rose to 64,958 cases after 1,209 new cases were reported overnight.

"Between noon yesterday and noon today, a total of 13,360 patients were still under COVID-19 surveillance," Indonesian government spokesperson on COVID-19, Achmad Yurianto said in his daily press conference broadcast via the National Agency for Disaster Management's (BNPB) official YouTube channel.

East Java remains the province with the highest number of deaths at 1,053 cases, followed by Jakarta (649 cases), Central Java (215) and Southern Kalimantan (202) while the rest were in the other provinces.
