A website and Facebook page have been set up to honor Singapore’s founding father and first Prime Minister, Lee Kuan Yew.

The Facebook page, titled ‘Remembering Lee Kuan Yew' will provide updates to the public throughout the seven days of funeral service and tributes paid by the public.

The Facebook page has garnered 81,718 numbers of likes to date and the number has been increasing by minute.

The Facebook page has a link that goes to a dedicated website that would enable the public to post condolences messages, and send tribute to the respected statesman.

Kuan Yew, 91 died 3.18am today at the Singapore General Hospital after suffering from severe pneumonia, the Prime Minister's Office announced.

The PMO said that Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, the son of the late Kuan Yew, was deeply grieved.

It quoted Hsien Loong as saying that the funeral proceedings and arrangements for the public to pay their respects would be announced later.

Kuan Yew was admitted to the intensive care unit of the hospital on Feb 5 after suffering from severe pneumonia.
