Four Malaysians, have been identified among the 22 people killed in a deadly bombing on Monday at about 7pm local time (1200 GMT) in the downtown area of the Thai capital, Bangkok.

Its feared fatalities could rise further as over 123 other people were injured in the blast at Erawan Shrine, a Hindu shrine in the city's tourist center. The blast was a terrorist act, according to the Thai Defense Ministry, which said the perpetrator "deliberately targeted foreigners to harm tourism and the economy".
