Indonesian national police on Thursday said the Daesh militant group was believed to have linkages with the suicide bombings near a bus stop in the country's capital that killed two bombers and three policemen late Wednesday, China's Xinhua news agency reported.

National police spokesman Senior Commissioner Awi Setiyono said the explosion also injured 10 others, including civilians and five policemen.

The spokesman said the bombing was parts of a global terrorist movement, which is strongly linked with the Daesh group.

The spokesman said the two suicide bombers had used pressure cooker bombs in the two explosions that occurred at 9pm and 9.05pm local time respectively.

Police are investigating the incident, including the strength of the bombs, he added.

Indonesian security authorities have been on alert and monitoring the movement of dozens of citizens back home from joining the Daesh activities in Syria.
