EPF will launch a new Flexible Account on May 11th to give members access to a portion of their retirement savings. However the move has drawn mixed responses from the public and from experts. Akaun Fleksibel is a new account that provides flexibility for short-term financial needs, where savings can be withdrawn at any time.

According to EPF, the incentive was allocated to individuals with EPF savings of RM10,000 and below in their Account 1 as of Feb 24, 2023.

The PTPTN said that the online service could also be used for savings in the National Education Savings Scheme (Simpan SSPN).

The govt guarantees there will be no sudden price hikes for this essential commodity and assures of a consistent and sufficient supply.
