Carian mengenai topik pas-and-umno

Pas and UMNO should avoid insulting or hurling attacks against one another, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

There has been no official discussion between Pas and UMNO on facing the GE15, said Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairman, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

The unity of the ummah through Muafakat Nasional (MN) which was initiated by PAS and UMNO, is considered the best formula, said PAS secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan.

PAS president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang has stressed that the relationship between his party and UMNO is still good although they have been facing certain problems recently.

MN was founded when PAS and UMNO were the opposition during the various issues involving the interests of Muslims and Malays.

The Muafakat Nasional (MN) cooperation between PAS and UMNO is based on parties and not on the influence of certain groups.

There should be no issue of which party will be more dominant if Bersatu, PAS and UMNO form a coalition to face the 15th general election, said Pahang Bersatu secretary Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah.

The coalition parties in Perikatan Nasional (PN) including Pas and Umno cannot "go it alone" to face the next General Election (GE).

Datuk Dr Nasharudin Mat Isa says Pas and Umno did not have to merge but forge cooperation anyways for political stability.

He said there were certain people in Pakatan Harapan who tried to raise the issue on cooperation between Pas and UMNO which was not accurate, with the hope that PAS would join the pact.

Abdul Hadi, who is also the Member of Parliament for Marang, thanked Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek for the invitation to attend the programme.

Attempts to dig up the one-time bad blood between PAS and UMNO will only derail the agenda for unity now, said Senator Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki.
