Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced today that he will not defend his presidency in the Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) elections scheduled for next year.

UMNO Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir said he is considering contesting in the party elections this year and will announce the post he will compete for "when the time comes".
