Dr Zaliha Mustafa said the Health White Paper will be brought to Cabinet next week for approval before being tabled in Parliament.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) is hoping that the Health White Paper, which is deemed the beginning of the journey to achieve a more sustainable and competitive Malaysian health system.

MoH received the second largest increase in allocations in line with the govt's wish to ensure the continuity of public health services.

Zaliha said one of the strategic thrusts of the White Paper is to ensure the sustainability of health care funding.
