YouTube has added live streaming and spatial audio support to their 360-degree video, in the aim of bringing viewers as close to a musical or sporting event as virtually possible.

After launching 360-degree video last year, YouTube has added a live-streaming functionality that was enabled during Coachella over the weekend.

Spatial audio also provides a richer immersive experience by factoring in depth, distance, and intensity to replicate the real-life listening experience.

A video recording of New Orleans jazz, for instance, allows users to listen to the music from all directions. For the best experience, it's advised to use headphones.
