National badminton men's doubles pair Goh V Shem/Tan Wee Kiong have impressed at the Denmark Open, advancing to the semi-finals Friday night.

V Shem/Wee Kiong took 46 minutes to beat Chinese pair Li Junhui/Liu Yuchen 21-18, 25-23, in a gruelling quarter-final fixture held at the Odense Sports Park in Denmark.

They are now set to either face Denmark's Mathias Boe/Carsten Mogensen, who are the second seeds in the tournament, or sixth-seeded Russians, Vladimir Ivanov/Ivan Sozonov.

Meanwhile, national badminton icon Datuk Lee Chong Wei will meet Brice Leverdez of France in the men's singles quarter-finals.
