Seven men were fined RM500 by the Magistrate's Court here today after they pleaded guilty in a brawl which broke out after the first Malaysia Cup semi-finals match between Perak and Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) at Perak Stadium on Sunday.

The seven accused - Mohd Noramin Anuar, 29, Wan Nazirul Shahpri Wan Mazran, 23, Daim Mokhtar, 18, Muhammad Afif Ashrani Muhsin, 24, Muhammad Arif Ashraf Muhsin, 21, Mohd Mansur Mat, 28 and Muhammad Aizat Ariff Fadilah, 25, pleaded guilty after the charge was read out to them by the court interpreter before Magistrate Siti Hanum Mohmad Sah.

The court then imposed a seven-day jail sentence on them if they failed to pay the fine. All the accused paid the fine.

The seven were found guilty of being in a brawl at Gate F in Perak Stadium here at about 10.50 pm on Sunday (Oct 15) after the end of the first Malaysia Cup semi-finals when Perak met JDT.

All the accused were charged under Section 160 of the Penal Code which provides for a jail sentence of up to six months or fine up to RM1,000 or both, if found guilty.

The case was conducted by Public Prosecutor Nurul Qistini Qamarul Abrar while all the accused were represented by their counsels.
