Tunku Mahkota of Johor (TMJ), Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim is urging the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) to dismiss national football coach, Dollah Salleh and to seek out a more qualified coach.

Tunku Ismail who is also the Royal Patron of the Johor Football Association (PBNJ) also expressed his readiness to provide a budget to finance the foreign coach.

In a statement released on the official Facebook page of the Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) team, Johor Southern Tigers, today, Tunku Ismail hoped that what had been said to FAM would be informed to its President, Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah.

“Stop having pride. Sack Dollah as soon as possible and try to fix what we can before the country’s football image continues to be destroyed. My only requirement is to provide all teams competing in the country with the national broadcasting rights that they deserve, which is about 70 to 80 per cent,” said Tunku Ismail.

Tunku Ismail explained that a good foreign coach was very important and gave the examples of the JDT players while playing for club and national level.

“Pablo Aimar had once taught me, there is no meaning to owning a Ferrari if the driver only knows how to drive a van. So to own a good team, 50 percent is coaching and 50 percent is the players,” he said.
Tunku Ismail also urged non-functioning FAM committee members to take a long leave.

“I will continue my mission to destroy the country’s football. For those who said that I have achieved my mission when we lost 10-0, it is still far away as I will only stop when we are beaten 50-0,” said Tunku Ismail.

This was the second consecutive statement released by Tunku Ismail through JDT’s Facebook, a few hours after Malaysia’s humiliating 10-0 defeat to UAE.

In his earlier statement, Tunku Ismail said that it was too late for the Harimau Malaya squad to rectify its world ranking position following the defeat.
