The FA of Kedah wants fans of the Kedah team not to worry about its application to get an AFC (Asian Fooftball Confederation) club licence to enable them to compete in the AFC Cup next season.

Its honorary-secretary Datuk Aminuddin Omar said they were in the process of getting it and had asked for the FA of Malaysia's assistance on the matter.

"All should be settled by October. So far we dot not have any problems and have cleared the first audit by AFC in June," he told reporters when met at the Bandar Amanjaya Motor Racing Complex here today.

The matter arose when FAM president Tunku Mahkota Johor (TMJ) Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim revealed that only JDT would be playing in the AFC Cup next season as Kedah had yet to get the licence.

Kedah automatically qualified for the AFC Cup 2018 after emerging as FA Cup 2017 champions. Out of the 22 teams in the Malaysian League (Super and Premier), only JDT possess the licence (to play in the AFC Cup competition).
