The full design of the new JDT football stadium will be unveiled today, after it underwent a few design adjustments which pushed back its estimated completion date to July 2018.

The stadium was originally scheduled to be completed in January next year.

Located in Iskandar Puteri, the design of the new stadium is inspired from the aesthetics of a banana leaf.

The new stadium also marks another chapter in JDT's surge to establish itself as a regional presence since the past few years.

The new stadium will span 140,000 square meters with a total built area of 70,000 square meters and can accommodate up to 40,000 people.

The team's current stadium in Larkin holds 30,000.

The new stadium will also feature facilities such as FIFA-standard natural grass field, and will meet FIFA's standards for a stadium that can host state-level competitions.
