Floyd `Money’ Mayweather is the undisputed WBA, WBC and WBO welterweight champion after defeating Filipino boxer Manny `Pacman’ Pacquiao at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Saturday (Sunday Malaysia).

The fight, billed as the Richest Fight in Boxing History last the full 12 rounds with Mayweather unanimously coming out on top on all 3 judges’ scorecard.

In the post-match interview, Pacquiao maintained that he won the fight despite the judges scoring it 118-110, 116-112; 115-112.

With this victory, Mayweather remains undefeated in 48 fights and is universally acclaimed as TBOTE (The Best of This Era).

The fight started to great expectation, with all the pent up emotions of five years of waiting for fight fans who had wanted to see this bout take place.

Many Malaysian fight fans had filled up sports bars in the city from as early as 8 am on Sunday morning as the fight was billed to start at 9am Malaysian time, shown on HBO.

In the event, they had to wait till a little under 12 noon, enduring an uninspiring undercard.

The fight itself, when it happened lasted just under an hour without the much-anticipated fireworks.

While fight fans might feel cheated of a spectacle, both fighters walked away with money safely in the bank in what will go down in history as the richest fight in history.
