Penang midfielder Mohd Faiz Subri has received a complete set of traditional Malay clothes for men with a Mahkota Alam headgear from Armada Malaiu Malaysia (AMM).

The presentation was conducted like the custom of sending a messenger in ancient Malay governments, as a symbol of prayers from all Malaysians.

Apart from that, it is also a moral support for Mohd Faiz's keenness to put on the traditional Malay dress on the international stage as he has been described as a young man with strong self-esteem.

Mohd Faiz who is a nominee for the 2016 Puskas Award in Zurich on Monday received the clothes from AMM Mass president Ahmad Kamal.

Mohd Faiz will be leaving for Zurich, Switzerland to attend the 2016 FIFA Football Awards tomorrow. -Bernama
