The Malaysian warriors bagged five out five wins in ONE: Age Of Champions at Stadium Putra, Friday night.
In the Malaysian Super Fight, local mixed martial arts (MMA) star Peter Davis defeated his opponent, Rajinder Singh Meena from India via referee stoppage in the first round.
Davis started off with a few vicious strikes before dragging Meena to the ground and gaining full mount.
He then landed another series of strikes from top position, forcing the referee to stop the fight.
Davis, when met after the match said he didn’t plan the fight to end up on the ground. Nevertheless he was very happy with the result.
“I wanted to make a stand up impression, but it was more of ground and pound impression (laughs),” said the 33-year-old pan-Asian fighter.
He also said that he succeeded in proving that Malaysian MMA is here to stay.
In another Malaysian Super Fight bout, the country’s first female pro-MMA fighter Ann “Athena’ Osman made a quick finish against her Egyptian opponent, Walaa Abbas.
Ann submitted Walaa by a rear naked choke after pressing against the cage and taking her down to the floor.
Ann’s tight grip into Walaa’s neck forced Walaa to tap out in just over two minutes of the first round.
Commenting about the fight, the 29-year-old Sabahan lass said she had expected the fight to end in a submission.
“That’s what I aimed for, you know my team and I been talking about that and I got to win by submission this time.
“All I can say is that I went against a tough opponent and she came on strong and I expected that, but I just executed the game plan and won through submission,” she told reporters at a press conference soon after the fight.
Meanwhile, three other Malaysians also made the country proud as they emerged victorious in all of their bouts.
Agilan ‘Alligator’ Thani who kicked off the stage, won with a spectacular first round TKO over his Indonesian opponent Reant Fabriza Rainir.
Making his ONE debut, the 19-year-old instructor made a quick work of his opponent, finishing him off by ground and pound in just over a minute of round 1.

Another win by Malaysia was through Ev Ting, who submitted his Filipino opponent, Cary Bullos via a guillotine choke.
Victory was attained by the 25-year-old fighter after impressively sweeping Bullos to ground before latching him into submission.
In the battle for the flyweight title, ONE Flyweight World Champion Adriano Moraes from Brazil retained his title after defeating challenger Riku Shibuya from Japan via unanimous decision.
