The Kedah Football Association (KFA) has sent a protest note to Football Malaysia Limited Liability Partnership (FMLLP) over the Selangor goal.

KFA honorary secretary, Datuk Aminuddin Omar said the decision to make lodge the protest was taken on the grounds that it involves the quality of refereeing.

"This is a protest, not an appeal or to seek an explanation," he said after high tea with eight Kedah Football Supporters Club members here, today.

Kedah and Selangor drew 1-1 in a Super League match at Selayang Stadium in Selangor on Wednesday.

Aminuddin said the KFA has provided video footage as proof to the FMLLP.

"We are not disputing the penalty kick given at the end of extra time but the lunge on our player in the penalty box earlier.

"This shows poor quality of refereeing. The referee was not focused and this affected the players," he added. - BERNAMA
