The Kelantan Football Association (KAFA) has undertaken a revamp by appointing Alfredo Gonzales as the new manager for The Red Warriors (TRW) for the rest of the Malaysia League competition this season.

Gonzales replaces Datuk Rosmadi Ismail, who is also KAFA vice-president.

Rosmadi said Gonzales, who was KAFA technical director previously, would plan, prepare and draw up the training module for the team.

"He is given full responsibility to assist the chief coach to prepare a strong team which can compete in the remaining Super League and Malaysia Cup campaigns this season," he said in a statement today.

He said instilling the Latin American football techniques by Gonzales demanded change in every aspect of the administration and needs a 100 per cent commitment of every individual to ensure the success of the team.

In the meantime, Rosmadi said he himself would act as the team's contingent chief aided by the assistant manager, who is also KAFA vice-president Datuk Muhammad Nasir Hamzah, who would act as the assistant to the contingent's chief.

However, he said Zahasmi Ismail is retained as TRW chief coach.

He said KAFA must make changes and improvements by taking a more professional approach as a measure to steer through the remaining matches which are becoming more challenging.

"It is hoped that the revamp can further firm up the team co-operation and meeting the supporters' aspiration to see Kelantan get exellent results this season," he said.
