League leader Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) moved into top gear after the Ramadhan month break and Hari Raya celebrations by beating Penang 2-0 at the Tan Sri Dato' Hj Hassan Yunos, Larkin, tonight to open up a nine-point gap at the top of the Super League table.

JDT however, had to wait until the 43rd minute for their new import Mohammad Ghaddar to break through and score while Gonzalo Gabriel Cabrera ensured all three points in the 83rd minute.

The win gave JDT 33 points from 14 matches and opened up a nine-point gap over second placed Pahang who lost ground after losing 1-2 to Felda United FC at the Tun Razak Stadium in Jengka.

Pahang started on the right foot when Sumareh Mohamadou scored what could be the fastest goal of the season since he struck inside the first minute but Felda United import Ifedayo Olusegun Patrick Omosuyi levelled the tie in the 5th minute.

A minute before the final whistle, another import, Thiago Augusto Fernandes scored from the spot to give Felda United all three points when referee Mohammad Zamzaidi Katimin awarded the spot kick after the ball had hit Pahang defender Mohammad Muslim Ahmad's hand inside the penalty box.

IN KOTA BAHRU, Sarawak added to Kelantan's misery at the Sultan Mohamad IV Stadium in Kota Bharu after walking away with a 2-0 victory with goals from imports Demerson Bruno Costa and Mateo Roskam in the 21st and 35th minutes respectively, in a match that was delayed 40 minutes due to a heavy downpour.

IN ALOR SETAR, FA Cup champion Kedah also failed to take advantage of playing the match at home, going down 2-3 to Perak at the Darul Aman Stadium in Alor Setar.

Perak received a first half 'gift' from Kedah in the 30th minute when Muhammad Shazwan Tajuddin put the ball past his own goalkeeper while trying to clear the danger from a Yaser Armando Pinto Islame strike.

After the break, Perak continued to dominate the proceedings and added two more goals through Mohd Nasir Bsaharudin and Gilmar Jose Da Silva Filho in the 47th and 72nd minutes while Kedah reduced the deficit through Sandro Da Silva Mendonca (58th) and Liridon Krasniqi (84th min).

AT the SHAH ALAM Stadium, PKNS FC shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw with Melaka.

PKNS had to thank veteran National striker Safee Sali for the point as the international scored from the spot in the 70th minute after Melaka had taken the lead through Felipe De Almedia's 49th minute strike.

Meanwhile, Selangor who hosted T-Team FC at the Selayang Stadium produced flashes on their past to score a 4-2 win over the side from Terengganu.

Selangor raced to a 2-0 lead through Muhammad Syahmi Safari's 53rd minute strike and the second by Liberian import Forkey Doe two minutes later before T-Team reduced the deficit in the 73rd minute through import Dishod Sharofetdinov.

However, Selangor regained their advantage when Rufino Segovia Del Burgo and Muhammad Syahmi struck two quick goals in the 82nd and 85th minutes while T-Team managed to add another goal in the 89th minute through Joseph Yannick Ndjeng to make it 2-4.
