The National Sports Institute (ISN) are only responsible for providing assistance to gather evidence to assist the doping case of national badminton ace Datuk Lee Chong Wei.

ISN chief executive officer Datuk Dr Ramlan Abdul Aziz stressed that the ISN were not involved in the delay of the date for the hearing because the ISN has no jurisdiction to decide on the date for the case.

"ISN has no jurisdiction or influence, so how is that we are delaying the case? I feel the lawyer representing Chong Wei is working very hard to ensure every detail is looked into.

"For sure such a detailed preparation will take time and therefore everyone must be calm," he said when met at the launch of the Malay College Kuala Kangsar Premier Rugby 7s, here today.

Chong Wei has been suspended by the World Badminton Federation (BWF) after testing positive for dexamethasone, a banned drug, during random testing at the World Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark, last August.

Earlier Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Norza Zakaria had assured that all details and evidence related to Chong Wei's doping case would be prepared by March.
