Kaya FC head coach Joel Villarino admits it is an honour for his team to play against Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) in the knockout stages of the AFC Cup at the Larkin Stadium here tomorrow.

"Obviously, Johor is one of the best and a very strong team in this campaign. We are proud and glad to play against them.

"But in mean time, we are also looking to collect three points and hope at least a hundred (Filipinos) fans will be at the stadium tomorrow to watch this historical match," Villarino said ahead of tomorrow's match.

Villarino said as the underdog, they were fully prepared with tactical strategies, including fielding at least four national players in the starting lineup.

"We have done research on our opponent and we are hoping players will help each other to achieve the target," he added.

Meanwhile, Kaya captain, Aly Borromeo said such high profile matches do not come around every day and it was a huge occasion for his side.

"These sort of competition is a new experience for us. We will start as the underdog so we must really grab everything to get a result," he said.
