Malaysia need to stay focused and beat India in the quarter-final of the World Hockey League (WHL) 2015 in Antwerp, Belgium.

Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said the 'Speedy Tigers' must apply a strong discipline and passion to ensure victory for Malaysia.

"We are all waiting the hockey match with bated breath. Malaysia had struggled a bit but they played well.
"I hope they play hard for a win to qualify for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil," he told reporters after breaking fast with the Sports Writers Association of Malaysia (SAM) here, Monday.

Malaysia recorded two wins namely against China (3-2) and Ireland (4-2) and two defeats, namely to Belgium (0-2) and Great Britain (1-3) in Group B matches.

Malaysia, ranked 12th in the world, are to play India, ranked ninth in the world on July 1 after finishing third in Group B with six points.

The national hockey squad have to finish in the top three in the tournament to qualify for 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games.
