The Malaysia Cup match between Perak and Johor Darul Takzim (Johor DT) scheduled to be played at the Perak Stadium here tonight has been postponed due to severe haze.

FA of Malaysia (FAM) Match Commissioner Ruslan Mansor said the decision was taken because the Air Pollutants Index (API) reading for Ipoh was above 150, which is unhealthy for human health.

The new date for the match would be announced by FAM's Local Competitions Committee, he told a news conference at the stadium today.

However, the decision did not go down too well.

A petty trader, Mohd Faizal Zulkefli, 38, from Chemor, said he had spent about RM700 to open up a stall to sell snacks but now he would be earning "zero ringgit.

A fan, Syuhaidah Othman, 25, said she had come with friends all the way from Teluk Intan, more than 100km away, and now they had to make the journey home "unfulfilled".
