Jorge Pereyra Diaz has decided to leave Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) after a Brazilian club wanted to buy the Argentine player.

Johor Football Association (JFA) president Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim said as replacement, JDT has signed Patricio Rodríguez (Pato) on loan from Brazilian club Santos FC.

"I have been impressed with Pato's quality and playing style since 2013 when he was playing with Neymar at Santos FC.

"Pato will be an asset to JDT. Although he is on loan, I hope to buy him after November," he said via the JDT Facebook Saturday.

He said the Argentine was scheduled to arrive in Johor on March 14 and promised more surprises when the second transfer window opens in April.

"One of JDT's marketing strategy is to sign up young international players whose price will increase when moving to play for us," he added.

Diaz, who played for Lanus FC in Argentina, signed for JDT in 2014.
