Malaysia's badminton ace Datuk Lee Chong Wei is back to his winning ways.

The former number one men's singles shuttler picked up his first Super Series title this season when he defeated Chou Tien Chen of Taiwan in straight sets of 21-13 and 21-18 in the final of the French Open at Stade Pierre de Coubertin in Paris on Sunday.

Prior to this the 32-year-old Penangite had only managed to win two Grand Prix Gold tournaments - the United States Open and Canadian Open - both in June after serving an eight-month suspension for a doping offence.

This is also his third French Open title after winning it in 2007 and 2011.
