The founder of Vida Beauty Sdn Bhd, Datuk Seri Hasmiza Othman today expressed her interest to continue with the sponsorship of the debt-ridden Kelantan Football Association (KAFA).

However, the sponsorship would only take place if Vida Beauty products obtain full support from The Red Warriors.

Also known as Datuk Seri Vida, the cosmetics mogul gave her assurance that if supporters show their support by purchasing her products, the sponsorship would take place.

Purchasing of Vida Beauty products by supporters of the football club is crucial in ensuring long-term sustainability of the company.

"I want to see if supporters support me or not, support my products, whether they buy Pamoga Qu Puteh. We can't be just watching football for fun but not supporting," said Hasmiza.

"I cannot fight the battle alone, although I have they money, buy my products so that I can recycle the money. And continue, if you all don't support, don't buy Pamoga, don't buy Qu Puteh and others, how am I to spend more more. In the business, I am putting in money but if the supporters don't buy, then how. As the sponsor,I have to be like this," the 44-year-old told reporters at the Ipoh Sessions Court, here today.

The decision for Vida Beauty sponsorship will be revealed by KAFA tonight.

Whatever the decision will be, Kelantan government will uphold its earlier decision not to take over the management of the Kelantan football squad.

Kelantan Deputy Menteri Besar, Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah today stressed that he is not keen to become KAFA president.

KAFA is in dire need for financial support following the absence of a chief after the departure of Tan Sri Annuar Musa.

Mohd Amar also added that the state government is not interested to dabble in the football association’s management as there other pertinent matters that need attention.
