Kelantan Football Association (KAFA) adviser Tan Sri Annuar Musa said he was ready to meet and discuss matters related to the election of Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) president with the Tunku Mahkota of Johor (TMJ) Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim.

He said the meeting would pave the way for the election of the FAM president, which will be a straight fight between him and TMJ, to be a smooth and harmonious affair.

"All parties must respect the election process for the president of the FAM. The election must not be politicised and after the election, all must close ranks and work for the development of football in the country.

"There are 39 affiliates who will be casting their votes during the election," said Annuar here today.

Annuar said since all the affiliates have vast experience, they would be able to make the right decision.

Asked if he would withdraw from the race, Annuar said: "There is still ample time before the election date."

The FAM Congress will be held on March 25. - BERNAMA
