AirAsia Allstars FC and MOF FC earned automatic qualification to the second round of the 2017 FA Cup competition without having to set foot on the field after DYS FC and Sungai Ara FC decided to withdraw from the competition.

Football Malaysia Limited Liability Partnership (FMLLP) chief executive officer Kevin Ramalingam said FMLLP had received the applications from the two teams stating various reasons for their withdrawal.

AirAsia Allstars FC who are now known as PJ Rangers were scheduled to face DYS FC at the Shah Alam Stadium while Sungai Ara FC were supposed to meet MOF FC at the City Stadium in Penang on Sunday.

In the second round of the FA Cup competition, AirAsia Allstars FC will face UiTM FC on Feb 14 while MOF FC take on KDMM FC on Feb 15.

Meanwhile, Penjara FC and Felcra will play their FA Cup match at the Penjara Mini Stadium in Kajang on Sunday at 4.15pm while PB Melayu Malaysia (PBMM FC) take on Syarikat Air Melaka Berhad (SAMB FC) at the Hang Tuah Stadium in Melaka on Sunday at 4.15pm. - BERNAMA
