Did you know that dates are good to be consumed all the time? Here we share the benefits of dates that you might not know.
During Ramadan, the Muslim communities of the world are unified by one food -- the date palm.

This is because, dates offer several nutritional benefits that will keep anyone who eats energised throughout the day.

The demand for dates in Malaysia also increases during this holy month.

However, did you know that dates are also good to be consumed at any time, and not just during Ramadan?

Here we share the benefits of dates that you might not know:


1. Improves your memory

You’ve probably heard that raisins can help improve your memory. But, did you know that dates too can be good for your brain? It contains enough nutrients to strengthen one’s memory and to take care of your brain.

2. Healthy pregnancy and ease labour

Dates can contribute significantly to a healthy pregnancy as it prevents the risk of having anemia, regulates blood pressure, regulates blood sugar levels and supports the immune system.

Also, if you are wishing for an easy labour, then you should add dates in your meal.

3. Healthy heart

Dates contain large amounts of potassium, which helps to prevent the risk of stroke and other heart diseases. All you need to do is soak them overnight in a bowl of water and consume it the next day.

4. Strong bones

So, when it comes to keeping your bones healthy, and preventing conditions such as osteoporosis, you need minerals like selenium, magnesium, copper and manganese.

And, you know what, dates contain all these minerals. Are we still ignoring them? 

5. Promotes digestion

Filled with a bunch of soluble fibers, dates can soothe your tummy and keep your digestive tract running smoothly.
