KUALA LUMPUR: Ramadan is incomplete without a visit to the Ramadan Bazaar.

During the visit – especially on an empty stomach – everything looks good and tempting. Where do we start?

For those who are more particular about their food and know their way though the bazaar, they may aim for a particular item that's either really tasty or unique, perhaps only available during Ramadan.

There are also food which are available throughout the year, but more popular during this holy month.

As we browse through the timeline on Twitter and Instagram, below are among the top 5 picks of the must-buy food items at the Ramadan bazaar chosen by netizens.

1. Maggi Goreng

Maggi Goreng an everyday dish is made popular when it is cooked with a popular dish such as the Murtabak. It is also available only at selected bazaars.

For example, netizen @fishiehy bought this Murtabak Maggi at Seksyen 17 Petaling Jaya:

2. Murtabak

Unlike Murtabak Maggi, Murtabak is available anywhere and anytime throughout the year. However, it somehow becomes more popular during Ramadan.

It is great as an appetizer before moving on to the main course:

4. Tepung Pelita

What’s the best dessert during Iftar?

Even though there are many desserts, Tepung Pelita is still a favourite. Put in the refrigerator for a while and you’ll have a nice and cooling dessert.
