Pas central committee has not received any official letter from the Menteri Besar's office regarding the fate of three of Pas exco members.

Pas secretary-general Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan said to date, Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali has not issued any official statement on the matter.

"Pas did not receive any orders from Azmin. And he also did not deny asking our men to resign. That is what we know so far," he told Astro AWANI.

"Until now we did not receive anything from the Menteri Besar Office. If he wants Pas exco members to resign, then he must send letter to Pas," he added.

However, he said exco's appointment is done only with the consent of the Selangor Ruler and so before ordering Pas exco men to relinquish thier positions, they must seek for the Ruler's approval.

"If there are any calls for Pas exco to resign, it must come from the Selangor Sultan," he added.

He said a Pas Central meeting will be held soon to discuss the fate of the three exco members.

Pas's Datuk Iskandar Abdul Samad, Datuk Dr Ahmad Yunus Hairi and Zaidy Abdul Talib are the executive councillors for Housing, Building Management and Urban Living; Islamic Religious Affairs, Malay Customs, Rural Development and Traditional Villages; and Infrastructure, Public Amenities and Agro-based Industries respectively.

Pas delegates at its muktamar this year called on the party to end its political cooperation with PKR.

On May 11, the Islamist party's Syura Council announced that it sever ties with the party, citing several reasons including PKR’s failure to support the party's Islamic agenda.
