The UMNO Supreme Council meeting scheduled to be held on September 9 will only discuss the party’s current issues, with no discussion on the speculation of any leaders’ dismissal.

According to UMNO Supreme Council member Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan, the issue of dismissing a leader does not arise.

“We have faced many issues which have tarnished the party’s image. Personally, I feel no announcement will be made regarding the dismissal of anyone during the Supreme Council meeting next week,” said Abdul Rahman during a press conference held here today.

Several messages have been circulating through Whatsapp for the past few days stating that the party's deputy president, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, vice-president, Datuk Seri Shafiee Apdal, Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir and several other party leaders would be dropped from UMNO during the 9th Supreme Council meeting in September.
