Terengganu PAS said today it will contest all the 32 state seats and eight parliamentary seats in the state in the 14th General Election (GE14), due by June next year.

New Terengganu PAS commissioner Datuk Hussain Awang said the party was optimistic that it could win more than the 14 seats it now held in the state at the next general election with the support of the new state party leadership after the recent reshuffle.

"Terengganu PAS has decided to contest in all 32 state and eight parliamentary seats. We are ready to face any situation and environment, including three-cornered fights," he told reporters at a press conference here today. PAS holds four of the eight parliamentary seats in Terengganu.

Earlier, Hussain announced the new 2017-2019 Terengganu PAS Liaison Committee members. Paka assemblyman Saiful Bahri Mamat ,who was the state PAS commissioner before the reshuffle, is now PAS state deputy commissioner I and Bukit Tunggal assemblyman Dr Alias Razak is PAS state deputy commissioner II.

Commenting on the recent reshuffle of several state PAS leaders by the Central PAS, Husain denied that there was discord within the party as claimed by certain quarters.

"I deny it because there is no crisis, no discord and no struggle for posts in relation to the reshuffle," he said.
