KOTA KINABALU:Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal today expressed his gratitude to all Sabahans who have supported the party in the 16th Sabah state election on Saturday.

"Thank you for the support from the Sabahans, thank you very much.

"We will continue to serve (the people)," he told party supporters at the Sabah Foundation House here today.

However, Mohd Shafie declined to comment on the party's movement in the near future.

There are rumours going around that state assemblymen have signed statutory declarations (SDs) to support Mohd Shafie as chief minister.

Mohd Shafie, who is also the Senallang assemblyman, declined to comment on the announcement of the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS), who have nominated Sabah Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairman Datuk Hajiji Noor as the new Chief Minister.

Earlier, several assemblymen from Warisan Plus, who won their respective seats in the state election on Saturday, were seen leaving the compound after meeting with Mohd Shafie.

Among those present were state PKR chairperson Datuk Christina Liew, state DAP chaiman Datuk Frankie Poon and Warisan vice-president Datuk Peter Anthony.
